How it works

Step One: Book a consultation & receive a quote

It all begins with a vision. Once you’ve made the smart decision to refresh your home or commercial property with new flooring, we’ll schedule an at-home consultation where we’ll go through all your options, bring samples, measure everything, and give you an accurate quote of what it will all cost.

Rest assured we’ll also help you work out what’s best for you based on your style, practical needs and budget. Plus, you won’t have a pushy salesperson pressuring you to buy and offering silly offers like marked up sales and ‘free underlay’. Just genuine prices with low overheads from an honest establishment.

Step Two: Select your flooring

Once you’ve decided on your flooring, we’ll order these directly with our trusted flooring suppliers. We only work with the best and have strong relationships that allow us to pick up the phone and make sure we get your orders sorted quickly and efficiently.

In the meantime, we suggest you start to remove your old carpeting or flooring and empty rooms, wardrobes, cabinets and any other heavy furniture to make the installation easier and faster. Now is also the time to give your space a good clean and hoover corners!

Note: we are happy to take away your old flooring but will have to charge you an additional £100. It’s best to connect with the Stockport or Manchester Council to get a ‘large item’ removal or take this to the local tips yourself.

Step Three: Fitting & Completion

Our staff will keep you updated on when your flooring order has arrived (generally it takes 1-2 weeks) and will then book you in for a fitting at a date most convenient to you - including weekends or early mornings if you’d like.

Shop owner and experienced fitter Steve will come to you in our Kingston Carpets van with your brand new flooring. We service all of Greater Manchester, Stockport and Cheshire and have been doing so for more than 50 years.

Steve will make quick work of installing your flooring, leaving you to enjoy your fabulously fitted flooring!

“Steve went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our carpets. We first went to the big names and were shocked by the hidden costs of install and underlay. Steve was much more flexible and never pressured us. Would highly recommend!”

FAQs

How are you dealing with coronavirus?

Right now, our showroom is currently closed but we are offering socially-distanced at-home appointments. We’ll also bring samples to you so you can easily select the right flooring for you. All our home consultants will be equipped with PPE (face mask and gloves) and will be adhering to the 2-metre social distancing regulations.

Fittings continue as planned and we have not seen a significant issue with stock delays with any of our manufacturers.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our showroom sometime soon when it’s safe!

What carpet works best for heavily trafficked areas?

When selecting a carpet, look at its thickness, resilience and material. We recommend opting for a darker coloured carpet if you have high levels of footfall. Carpets made from Polypropylene, Polyamide and Wool are all super hardwearing and durable. Underlay is also good to consider, as it prolongs the life of your carpet.

What’s the best carpet for pets?

The best pet-friendly carpet is one with a short pile, such as a shorter loop carpet. A carpet made from 100% polypropylene is stain resistant so any muddy paw prints or little accidents can be easily cleaned up.
